John Edwin Oldfield (c 1790 – c 1860 ) was a painter of architectural and topographic subjects in England and on the Continent. Originally from the North East, he later moved to London where he exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1826 & 1854. Examples of his paintings are in the British Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum and the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle.
